Albizia julibrissin, mimosa, Persian silk tree

This tiny tree is about 20 cm tall and have survived a tough winter outside. We have a large Albizia tree that doesn't do too well and last year I have planted lots of seeds into pots. Took them inside for the winter, nevertheless, only two survived from a dozen. This is why I am surprised; everywhere I read that this type of tree can't handle frost in the first two or three years of its life, yet this one is doing absolutely fab in the shade of some irises. Nature's wonders!

Meet Marci, the (tom)cat on top of the world - well, on top of the garden swing, catching the last rays of sunshine yesterday evening.

Plan for today is garden time: seeding beans and planting cucmber and beetroot and I seriously have to start learning Spanish again.
